At The Au Pair Club, we value your trust and satisfaction. Our services are digital, including online courses, memberships, job portal access, and community features. Refunds are limited and subject to specific conditions.
1. Refund Overview
Refunds are available for individual online courses within 14 days of purchase, provided specific criteria are met.
Course bundles, memberships, job portal access, and community features are non-refundable.
2. Refund Policy for Online Courses
You may request a refund for individual course purchases within 14 days of purchase if the following conditions are met.
2.1 Eligibility for Refund
- The course was purchased within the last 14 days.
- You completed no more than 25% of the course content.
- You have not shared, copied, or distributed course materials.
- Significant technical issues prevented you from using the course effectively (server outages lasting more than 48 hours).
2.2 What Does Not Qualify for a Refund
Refunds will not be granted if:
- You completed more than 25% of the course content.
- You are requesting a refund for personal reasons, financial issues, or technical problems related to your own devices or internet connection.
- You purchased the course more than 14 days ago.
- You purchased the course using a discount code (partial refunds may apply).
- The content delivered matches the course description.
We reserve the right to retain 30% of the enrolment fee to cover administrative costs for any approved refunds.
2.3 Bundle Purchase Refunds
Course bundles, including The Au Pair Special and other discounted course packages, are not eligible for refunds.
- Bundle purchases are final and non-refundable.
- Bundles are priced at a discount compared to individual course purchases.
- Partial refunds for individual courses within bundles are not available.
3. Refund Policy for Memberships
All membership plans include trial periods. Refunds are not available for any membership fees because every user receives full access during the trial period before being charged.
3.1 Childcare Provider Memberships
- Trial Period: R1 for 25 days of full access
- Monthly Fee: R29 per month after trial
- No Refunds: Refunds are not available for the R1 trial fee or monthly R29 subscription fees. You receive full platform access during your trial to evaluate whether the service meets your needs.
3.2 Family Memberships
- Setup Fee: R499 (one-time, non-refundable)
- Monthly Fee: R99 per month
- Trial Period: 30 days included
- No Refunds: Refunds are not available for setup fees or monthly subscription fees. The 30-day trial period allows you to test the platform before your first monthly charge.
3.3 Agency Memberships
- Setup Fee: R499 (one-time, non-refundable)
- Monthly Fee: R129 per month
- Trial Period: 30 days included
- No Refunds: Refunds are not available for setup fees or monthly subscription fees. The 30-day trial period allows you to evaluate the platform before your first monthly charge.
3.4 Why No Refunds?
Our platform provides immediate access to job portal features, trained caregiver profiles, community access, and hiring tools. Every membership includes a trial period. You have the opportunity to fully test the service before being charged.
Success on the platform depends on your profile quality, engagement, and reasonable expectations. We do not guarantee matches or placements.
3.5 Membership Changes
Membership downgrades are not available. We operate on a single-tier access model where one membership fee gives you access to all platform features. You are either an active member with full access or not a member.
If you wish to cancel your membership, you may do so at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of your subscription.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for eligible purchases, email us at refunds@theaupairclub.com.
Your request must include:
- Your full name and the email address used to make the purchase.
- The date of purchase.
- A clear explanation of why you are requesting the refund.
4.1 Refund Processing
Refunds that meet the eligibility criteria will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method. Please note:
- Bank transfers may take an additional 5-10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank.
- Credit/debit card refunds typically appear within 5-7 business days after processing.
- Refunds for eligible online courses will incur a 30% administrative fee, which will be deducted from the refunded amount.
5. Right to Refuse Refunds
We reserve the right to refuse refunds in the following circumstances:
- Policy Abuse: Multiple refund requests or a pattern of purchasing and refunding courses.
- Fraudulent Claims: False information provided in refund requests or fraudulent refund attempts.
- Terms Violations: Sharing, copying, or distributing course materials before or after requesting a refund.
- Excessive Course Completion: Completing courses beyond the 25% eligibility limit before requesting refunds.
Accounts found abusing our refund policy may be permanently banned from The Au Pair Club, and no future refunds will be granted.
6. Gift Purchases
If a service was purchased as a gift, we may offer a gift credit or certificate instead of a cash refund. Gift credits will be emailed to the recipient upon approval of the refund.
