Christmas Activities 2020
The holiday season is finally here! Despite the challenges of the past year, it’s important to make the most of this special time with our loved ones. At That Sassy Life Coach, we understand that this year has been tough and that many of us will be spending Christmas isolated and confined to our homes. That’s why we’ve put together a list of fun, Covid-friendly Christmas activities that will keep you and your family safe, entertained, and in the festive spirit.
Covid-Friendly Christmas Activities
- Decorate Christmas Cookies – Baking cookies over the Festive Season is a great daytime activity to make your home smell delicious and it’s a great way to bond with your children or partner. Before you get started, make sure you have some fun cookie cutters, frostings, and decorations on hand.
- Have a video call with Santa – Getting to meet Santa is a magical experience for many youngsters during the holiday season. Unfortunately, they might not get to see Father Christmas in person this year, but that doesn’t mean they can’t chat with him on the phone. Download the Santa App on your iPad or iPhone from the App Store.
- Decorate the house as well as the Christmas Tree – We’re all going to spend a lot of time at home this holiday season, so why not make your space the winter wonderland of your dreams? Sit down one night and discuss a theme and budget. Then, set a date to make the magic happen!
- Make a Christmas Face Mask – Let’s be safe AND have some fun this Christmas. Go shopping for some funky and festive material and get sewing! You could even make a game of it, the person who wears the most creative face mask this Christmas wins something special (and budget-friendly).
- Make funky and memorable Christmas ornaments – The 2020 holiday season is bound to be unique, so why not make an ornament to remember it by? Don’t forget to write the date on the back!
- Christmas Concert – You don’t need to be a musical family or friend group to have fun belting out holiday tunes during a fun group activity: Christmas karaoke. Take this game up a notch by investing in a karaoke set-up or use a hairbrush as a substitute whilst singing along to YouTube lyrics!
- Christmas Movie Night- Have a Christmas movie marathon with your family. Make some popcorn and other festive treats, and get cozy under a blanket. It’s the perfect way to end a long day of Christmas activities.
- Christmas Crafts- Let your creativity flow by making Christmas crafts with your family. It could be making Christmas cards, ornaments, or even a gingerbread house. It’s a great way to bond and make lasting memories.
- Christmas Scavenger Hunt- Create a scavenger hunt around your house or neighborhood. It could be a fun way to get the whole family involved, and it’s a great way to get some exercise while having fun.
In conclusion, Christmas is a time of joy, celebration, and togetherness. While this year has been challenging, it’s important to make the most of the time we have with our loved ones. We hope that this list of Covid-friendly Christmas activities will help you make lasting memories with your family and friends during the holiday season.
